The goal of the project was to model, UV, texture three glass jars and six boxes on a grocery shelf in our scene.
The hardest part of this project was modeling the glass jar, editing the UV’s to align with the labels and managing a lot of assets in Maya.
To create the glass jars I created a CV curve and used the surface revolve tool and repeated the process for the lid.
Then I created a UV snapshot and created a texture map in Photoshop for the boxes, jar, contents and labels and edited how they lined up with the faces in the UV editor.
I then continued to set up material presets and material attributes before duplicating some assets and building a shelf to place them on.
The following images are two additional close up’s I saved to finalize small details.
